Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf’s new matcha series: what the Philippines announcement confirms

The September 23 announcement names mango, strawberry and oat matcha lattes. Here is what is confirmed, what to ask locally and what a menu name cannot tell you.

What was announced, and where

The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf’s Philippine website published its new matcha-series announcement on September 23, 2026. It names Matcha Mango Latte, Matcha Strawberry Latte with a salted cream cap, and Matcha Oat Latte. This establishes a Philippines-market announcement. It does not confirm that the same range is on sale in the United States, Japan or every other country using the brand. The date is the article’s publication date, not a store-by-store inventory timestamp.

Use the names to frame your questions

Mango and strawberry identify the featured flavor direction, while the oat version highlights its milk base. The announcement specifically calls out a salted cream cap for the strawberry drink. It does not provide complete ingredient lists, serving sizes, nutrition tables, caffeine amounts, prices or a precise end date. Its seasonal wording is not enough to calculate the last day you can order. We have not tasted the drinks and do not rank them.

Check the exact order before travelling

Start with the branch and the order channel you will use. Ask which of the three drinks is available in your chosen size and whether a topping is included in the displayed price. A photographed range is not evidence of stock in a particular shop. If a delivery menu shows a different name, compare the description and modifiers rather than assuming it is the same preparation. Save the receipt and exact order wording if you intend to compare it with a later visit.

Treat dietary questions as ingredient questions

Do not infer the full recipe from one word in the name. In particular, an oat label is not a complete statement about every ingredient, topping or preparation surface. If you need to avoid a particular ingredient, request the current local ingredient and allergen information for the exact drink and modifications. We cannot fill those gaps from photographs or from another country’s menu. This guide makes no vegan, dairy-free, low-sugar or caffeine claim for the range.

Make a useful first-drink note

If you try a drink, record its name, size, additions and whether you mixed the layers before tasting. Then describe sweetness, the prominence of the tea and the texture in your own words. A promotional image cannot tell us those results in advance. When comparing two drinks, use similar serving conditions and say whether you changed the topping or milk. That creates a personal reference without turning the brand’s launch copy into an independent test result.

If you want to explore the idea at home

Our separate fruit-matcha worksheet starts with a clearly labeled editorial example, not a copy of the chain’s recipe. It records fruit purée independently so that thick purée is not silently counted as milk or water. The matcha calculator can scale the tea base and the other listed ingredients; use the worksheet to keep the fruit quantity alongside it. Keep your homemade notes separate from the purchased drink, since neither matching colors nor matching ingredient names establishes an identical formula.
